Ayurveda is Yoga’s Sister Science. It is a holistic form of medicine from Ancient India. The term Ayurveda means The Science of Life. In this workshop you will learn about the Doshas of the mind/body: Vata, Pitta and Kapha and the qualities of the mind: Sattva, Rajas and Tamas. Don’t worry about these terms, Kristen is a certified Ayurveda clinician. Her simple and engaging teaching style will leave you informed and empowered. A fundamental understanding of these concepts will help you create more balance on and off the mat. You’ll actively access your unique constitution and learn practical tips to balance your dosha, harness your energy and tame your mind. The second half of the workshop will include an asana (yoga) practice. You’ll gain first hand experience on how to balance the Doshas via breath and movement. Kristen will teach you how to use poses to balance the elements of the body and qualities of the mind. You can integrate these valuable tools into your personal practice, teaching and daily life.
