PROGRAM OVERVIEW:


Guruv Yoga’s 268 hour Comprehensive Yoga Teacher Training Program will cover the practical, theoretical, historical, and spiritual aspects of the science of Hatha Yoga. The program requires considerable energy, time, dedication, and commitment. The student will leave with a thorough education and how to teach Hatha Yoga, the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga, Hot Yoga and Power Vinyasa Flow Yoga. The candidate must have a dedicated personal practice, heightened awareness, and an abundance of inspiration and passion, that will fully prepare them to share the gift of yoga. Class size is limited.

 

Students will be required to observe and assist weekly with classes at Guruv Yoga. There will be pre-course reading and writing assignments plus several written and oral exams during the training program. A final written and oral exam will be given at the end of the program.

  • History of Yoga (broad outline of many traditions, detailed examination of the history of Ashtanga Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga)

Deposit and Application 

Class size is LIMITED. Your application must be submitted and approved before submitting your non-refundable $250 deposit.

 
Tuition

 

The tuition for SUMMER Yoga Teacher Training is $2,500.00 PAID IN FULL/ $2,700 (FINANCED) and covers your entire course of study. This includes: lectures, classroom instruction, Yoga Teacher Training Manual, and unlimited regularly scheduled classes at BOTH Guruv Yoga Studios during the duration of the Teacher Training Program (3 months). The tuition for 8 MONTH OPTION / *This includes 8 months of Unlimited Yoga Classes at BOTH GURUV YOGA LOCATIONS, 200hr Teacher Training Program & all monthly YIN SPECIALTY CLASSES. You can pay monthly installments of $399 or PAID IN FULL $2,999.

 

Cancellation/ Refund Policy

 

 

Full Refunds, minus $250 deposit, will be issued up until 15 days prior to first class meeting, after that no refunds will be issued only credit at Guruv Yoga Studio.

STARTS JANUARY 18th, 2015 and will meet one weekend a month for 8 months. Tentative dates for 2015 are as follows:
January 3rd& 4th, February 21 & 22nd, March 14th & 15th, April 11 & 12th, May 16 & 17th, June 6 & 7th, July 25 & 26th, August 29 & 30th(Graduation Day Sunday August 30th, 2015)

Tuition for 8 MONTH OPTION: *This includes 8 months of Unlimited Yoga Classes all 3 GURUV YOGA LOCATIONS, 200hr Teacher Training Program & all monthly YIN SPECIALTY CLASSES.

200HR YOGA TEACHER TRAINING / SUMMER 2015 OPTION: 

Session 1: Consists of four Wednesday evenings 5:30-8:30pm, and four Saturdays 9:00am-6:00pm and four Sundays 9:00-6:00pm. SUMMER 2015 BEGINS WEDNESDAY, JUNE 3rd, 2015 thru SUNDAY, JUNE 28th, 2015
*JULY will be maintaining assigned Homework, Thesis, Practice, Assisting, Observing, Reading and Journaling. (can be completed at “home” studio)

Session 2: Consists of four Wednesday evenings 5:30-8:30pm, and four Saturdays 9:00am-6:00pm and four Sundays 9:00-6:00pm. Begins WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 5th thru AUGUST 30th 2015.  

*Requirements in addition to Scheduled Sessions: 

  • Must maintain personal practice at Guruv Yoga at least once per week and complete all reading, writing, and research assignments. 
  • PERSONAL PRACTICE- Students will be required to keep a practice log and/or journal. 
  • Technique-(25hrs) Evaluate 10 Yoga Classes 
  • Practicum- (5hrs) Assists in 3 Guruv Yoga Classes 
  • Teaching Methodology- (15hrs) Research Paper & Presentation / Co- Teaching at Guruv Yoga 
  • Anatomy & Physiology- (10hrs )Reading and Written Homework Assignments and Final Exams 
  • Philosophy/Ethics/Lifestyle-(20) Reading and Written Homework Assignments & Final Exams.

 

TOTAL HOURS OF TEACHER TRAINING = 268 HOURS
